TCS NYC Marathon Pre-Race Festival

Join us for a buffet lunch, a mouth-watering “jianbing” (煎饼) from Mr. Bing, music, photo booth, museum tour, endless fun and a chance to meet with your fellow MOCA Spike 150 and TCS New York City Marathon runners around the country to wind down before the big day! MOCA Spike 150 relay award ceremony will also be presented to the top winners at 1:30pm.

A speical fun run will start from MOCA at 2pm after the party. Join us for an easy 3 mile pre-race, shake out run and take part in a professional photo shoot against the breathtaking and classic backdrop of the New York City skyline. Don’t forget to wear your MOCA Tee to take part in the photo shooting!

NYC Marathon Expo opens from 9am to 5pm on Saturday. (see full schedule here)

Direction to MOCA from Marathon Expo

Take 7 train (purple) from 34th St Hudson Yards station, transfer to 6 train(green) in Grand Central Station and get off in Canal Street. MOCA is 5 minutes walking from the train station. Total travel time is about 30 minutes.

2019 is the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. To commemorate the contribution of the Chinese laborer to this monumental railroad, Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) has designated its 2019 TCS NYC Marathon event as MOCA Spike 150 – Running Forward With Our Stories！ We encourage everyone to participate through 1) our national relay and 2) a story a day which consists of 150 Chinese American personal stories. We hope you will continue to follow and support us. Go tell your story. Reflect on the past; root in the present and embrace the future. Let us add to the American history, making it fuller and richer.
