One day, two shakeout runs! Two special fun run events will be hosted before and after the MOCA Marathon Pre-Race Festival on Saturday. Both begin and end in MOCA where you can have your bag checked and clothes changed. Join us for a 4 mile pre-race shakeout or a 3 mile easy fun run, take part in a professional photo shoot against the breathtaking and classic backdrop of the New York City skyline! Don’t forget to wear your MOCA Tee to take part in the photo shooting!

Join us for a buffet lunch, a mouth-watering “jianbing” (煎饼) from Mr. Bing, music, photo booth, museum tour, endless fun and a chance to meet with your fellow MOCA Spike 150 and TCS New York City Marathon runners around the country to wind down before the big day! MOCA Spike 150 relay award ceremony will also be presented to the top winners at 1:30pm.

Let’s re-create this Chinatown mini marathon back in 1976!

The country just had its bicentennial. Long summers. Black outs. Roller skates. Platform shoes. Charlie's Angels. Star Wars. Who knew running was a thing in '70s Chinatown!

今年，2019年，是美国跨洲铁路东西向连结完工的150周年。当年那些远渡重洋的华人们，为建设这条铁路所做出了巨大贡献。

那一批华工的到来，是华人大规模移民美国的开始。150年，是一个半世纪。沧海桑田，世界发生了很大的变化。而美国华人的数目、地位、生活方式等，也和当年不可同日而语。

MOCA Spike 150 kicked off with a pig run, a half marathon course around lower Manhattan in the shape of a big, to commemorate the Lunar New Year. We encourage everyone to join the run, and help tell the story by helping to support our 2019 marathon team and rewriting history to acknowledge their contributions.
